Good advice, and your point about sound judgment is well taken. It's getting to the point where few enough people demonstrate jugement on their own that many dating sites are starting to go out of their way to make sure their users know basic things like "don't give your phone number to strangers," etc. It's those kind of mistakes that give some people the impression that online dating is unsafe.

ReplyDeleteGreat advice especially now with all the recent news about safety and online dating. I am a huge proponent of "trusting your gut" or sound judgment. Online dating sites can do more to keep their clients safe, however, nothing is 100% and it is up to the online daters to use their heads when dating.

If you don't want to go on another date with someone, let them down as gently -- but firmly -- as possible......
